The Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Mr. Md. Shahriar Alam, MP received today the newly appointed Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh H.E. Dr. Chop Lal Bhushal at his office in MoFA. Welcoming the Ambassador, the Hon’ble State Minister assured him of all possible cooperation in discharging his duties.
Highlighting the historically warm and friendly ties with Nepal, the Hon’ble State Minister expressed hope that the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Nepal would be further strengthened in the coming days. During the meeting, they also discussed about various aspects of bilateral relations including trade and investment, connectivity, power sector cooperation, people-to-people contacts etc.
In reply, Ambassador H.E. Dr. Chop Lal Bhushal expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of Bangladesh for accepting his appointment. He also hoped that the two countries would be able to harness the existing synergies to take the bilateral relations to the next level.
H.E. Dr. Chop Lal Bhushal presented his credentials to the Hon’ble President of Bangladesh on 18 July 2017.
