State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. ShahriarAlam, MP will pay bilateral visits to Belarus (18-19 April)and Poland (20-22 April). A 10-member business delegation will accompany the State Minister during his visits.
In Belarus, State Minister Alam will hold bilateral consultations with his Belarusian counterpart. He will also meet with Mr. Sergei Rakhmanov, who joined the 136th IPU Assembly in Bangladesh earlier this month as Member of the Council of the Republic of Belarus and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs and National Security. Belarusian side will arrange a business conference, where State Minister will speak about business potential between the two countries.
In Poland, the State Minister will meet his counterpart Deputy Minister (Undersecretary) for Asia, Pacific, Africa; Polish Minister for Maritime Economy & Inland Navigation; Minister for Social Welfare, Family &Labour; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economic Development; President of Polish National Chamber; and Polish Investment & Trade Agency. The business delegation will also attend some other meetings. Polish side will arrange a Business Seminar at Polish National Chamber in which business delegation of two countries will discuss the trade and investment issues.
During the visits, the State Minister will discuss with his counterparts about the bilateral, multilateral and international issues of mutual interests. It is expected that these visits will enhance the cooperation with Belarus and Poland. It may be noted that Bangladesh has re-opened its Embassy in Warsaw, Poland in 2015.
The delegation will also join the Bangla New Year Celebration to be organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Warsaw on 22 April.
